North York Moors National Park:

a beautiful landscape of stunning moorland, spectacular coastlines, ancient woodlands and historic sites. Nature's best on our doorstep.

Saltholme RSPB Reserve:

Fabulous, huge wetland reserve. State of the art visitors centre, pond-dipping and play area for children. You can even take your bike and explore the reserve. A great family day out.

North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway:

a step back in time. Travel through the wonderful moorland on one of the spectacular steam engines lovingly maintained by the volunteer staff of the railway. Stop off at the charming villages and towns along the way.

Guisborough Forest and Walkway:

There are way-marked walkways through the forest, two dedicated cycle tracks, woodland play areas and easy walking access to the surrounding countryside and various circle walks.
